This Payroll Management course is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of the key principles and processes involved in payroll administration. Throughout the course, students will explore the fundamentals of payroll, from salary and deduction calculations to compliance with legal regulations, ensuring that payroll operations are carried out accurately and efficiently.
During the course, participants will learn how to effectively manage the tools and software used in payroll management. In addition, best practices will be discussed to ensure payment accuracy and compliance with tax and labor regulations. Through case studies and practical exercises, students will gain skills they can directly apply in their professional roles.
Upon completion, students will be able to independently manage the entire payroll cycle, including salary calculations, report generation, and solving common issues that may arise. They will also be prepared to ensure that their company complies with all legal obligations related to payroll, thereby contributing to efficient and error-free administration within their organization.
- General concepts of salaries, payroll, and working hours: Introduction to the fundamental principles of payroll management, including different types of salaries, payroll concepts, and legally permitted working hours.
- Managing multiple currencies in payroll: Explanation and application of payroll calculations using different currencies, addressing exchange rates and their impact on compensation.
- Employee income calculation: Methods for calculating employees’ gross income, considering base salary, bonuses, commissions, and other additional earnings.
- Considerations for holidays, overtime, and double shifts: Accurate calculation of payments for overtime, holiday work, and double shifts, following current labor regulations.
- Calculation of standard employee deductions: Details of mandatory deductions such as social security, income tax, among others, and how they are applied to payroll.
- Special deductions such as garnishments, alimony, and associations: Process for applying special deductions to payroll, such as court-ordered garnishments, alimony, and contributions to solidarity associations.
- Sick leave and its impact on payroll: Management of employee sick leave, including subsidy calculation and income reduction in payroll.
- Calculation of Christmas bonus and vacation pay: Procedure to calculate the annual bonus and vacation days according to labor law, and their impact on payroll.
